Bart Baldwin

Bart has two decades of executive level experience in the health care and human services fields, spending most of his time deeply engaged in political and advocacy efforts to increase state funding for services.

 

As a professional registered lobbyist, he has been an active player in the development of public policy in Kentucky. Nationally, he is well known for his expertise in state level child welfare public policy matters and routinely provides training and consultation on political advocacy and lobbying for non-profits.

 

He recently was an active member of the lobbying firm Bird Consulting Group. Prior to that he served as the President of the Children’s Alliance, representing child welfare agencies in Kentucky. Formerly he was the National Director of Regional Public Policy for the Washington D.C. based Child Welfare League of America. In this role, he established a new effort of support, training and active development in state level public policy matters.

 

Prior to 1997, Bart was a Licensed Nursing Home administrator in Kentucky for both for profit and non-profit national corporations. He became involved in the grassroots advocacy effort for the industry and eventually went to work for the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities, a trade association for the long term care industry.

 

Bart received his Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management in 1992 from the University of Kentucky where he served on the Student Senate and is a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

 

Bart lives in Shelbyville, Kentucky with his wonderful wife Stephanie and their two children Harrison, 16 and Kathleen 13. They are all active in Shelby Christian Church, especially in youth programming and missions work.
